Our Team

Jason P. Matthews has counseled and represented employees in a wide range of labor and employment related matters since 2004.

Jason is a member of the Dayton Bar Association and the DBA’s Labor and Employment Law Committee. Jason has been a member of the Ohio Employment Lawyers Association since 2006. Before starting his own firm, Jason worked with Jeffrey M. Silverstein and Associates for over nine years. Prior to entering private practice, Jason served as a Civil Rights Representative for the Ohio Civil Rights Commission where he investigated charges of discrimination in employment, housing, and public accommodations.

Jason received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Marietta College in 1996 where he majored in History and Political Science and earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Dayton in 1999.

Leisyl A. Jackson has over twenty years of experience working with attorneys in the field of labor and employment law. Leisyl has served as a Paralegal for Jason P. Matthews, LLC, since 2013, and previously worked for Jeffrey M. Silverstein and Associates. Leisyl provides research, writing, billing and litigation support services.

Leisyl is committed to providing an outstanding client experience and is well respected in the Dayton legal community for her knowledge and professionalism.

Leisyl graduated from Chaminade Julienne High School, attended Sinclair Community College, Wright State University, and received her Paralegal degree from the American Paralegal Institute in 1991.
